Product Information

A pair of antique percussion box lock, single shot pistols, circa mid 1800s. They would have been hand made at the request of the owner. Often locally made, these pistols are sometimes found with unique or unusual design features. This pair have very distinctive spurs on the percussion hammers. Both have lovely hand made wooden grips and are chambered in a very large calibre for their size. The period wooden box is lined with green baise. These types of pistols were often used for dueling or for personal protection. As is to be expected from pistols of this age, both are suffering from a common and similar fault. The trigger springs and sears have worn. One pistol will hold back in the half cock position and other does not. Both are repairable or left as they would make great display pieces.

These pistols are not deactivated in anyway and are being sold as collectors pieces only. An ideal project.
