Product Information

An early production 1868 dated Albini- Braedlin single-shot rifle, chambered in 11mm obsolete calibre. The action was designed by an Italian officer Augusto Albini and was then perfected by English gunsmith, Francis Braendlin. The rifle is designed with a clever front-hinged, forward lifting action. It was adopted in 1867 by the Belgium army and was also used by various other military forces including Russia and Italy. They saw service action during WWI when Germany invaded Belgium. This example has a low three digit serial number 638 with military markings. It comes fitted with a period leather sling.

Chambered in 11mm obsolete calibre it has a full working action and can be cocked, stripped an dry fired.
