Product Information

An absolutely stunning condition Belgium made Velo-Dog revolver. The initials on the left side of the frame JK under a crown are the trade mark of the Liege gun maker Jules Kaufmann. On the other side of the frame are the initials D D - Debouxthay's Velo-dogs. This revolver utilizes the Debouxthay safety. When the safety lever was pulled back it also locked the hammer and firing pin in a safe position away from the receiver.  Another of their design features used on this revolver is the extraction rod that is spring mounted so that it was automatically pushed away from the cylinder more easily. Revolvers of this quality and with these design features were more often then not one offs. Gun makers from this period would incorporate other makers designs and ideas to produce unique pieces usually at the request of a client. However, it is very unusual to find an example with these markings and these features. It is a real cracker! The grips look to be mother of pearl with fine hand engravings to all metal parts. The finish is nickel.

It works off both single and double actions and has a full working action.

Chambered in an antique obsolete calibre it can be owned live without any form of license.
