Product Information

This is a rare and an early production Brevete Nagant rolling block military rifle. Circa late 1860s. It was was made by the Nagant Brothers in Leige, who were license by Remington to produce rifles using their "rolling block" action. Just visible on the receiver are "Brevete, Nagant and serial number 1918", and on the barrel are the Belgium proofs. This example has the "fast loading" lever action. The lever underneath the trigger guard pushes forward and actuates the extraction of the cartridge and also cocks the action back. They were made for military use being produced for army contracts around the world. The action on this rifle is still super crisp and tight and works flawlessly. This example would be an ideal restoration project.

Chambered in an obsolete calibre (11mm) this historic carbine can be owned live without any form of license. It has a full working action and can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. It is not deactivated in any way and is being sold as a collectors piece only.
