Product Information

An antique Howe double barrel, muzzle loading percussion shotgun, circa early 1800s. Howe were a manufacturer of high quality shotguns and firearms. In the early 1920s they became Griffin & Howe who have continued this legacy. This shotgun would have been an expensive purchase in its day with Damascus barrels and hand engraving to the lock and hammers. The stock has been damaged at the wrist between the locks but the old repair is sound and the wood work in structurally fine. The action is still firm and both hammers lock back on half and full cock positions and fire every time.

This shotgun is chambered in an antique obsolete calibre and can therefore be owned live without any form of license. It has a full working action and is not deactivated in any way and is being sold as a collectors piece only.
