Product Information

A lovely condition Belgium made Velo-Dog obsolete calibre revolver, chambered in 5.5mm. Completely original with its factory finish and wooden grips. It has a very low serial number of just 23 which appears of barrel and cylinders. The Velo-Dog was a revolver originally created in France in the late 1800s. The name "Velo-Dog" comes from the portmanteau of the words "Velocipede" and "Dog"  and as the name suggests it was used to defend cyclists on their velocipedes, who were likely to be set upon by wild ferocious dogs. It corporates a safety lever and folding trigger to avoid accidental discharge. The bore and rifling are in super condition. It works of both single and double action. The action is extremely crisp and tight. A very well made little pocket revolver.

Chambered in an antique obsolete calibre it can be owned live without any form of license. It has a full working action and can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
