Product Information

An antique British manufactured box lock percussion single shot pistol with central hammer, Circa mid 1800s. The maker is Ancell, Perth of Scotland.  The bore size / calibre is around .470 (12mm). The barrel and body both bear Birmingham proof stamps. They were often used for dueling or for personal protection. The barrel length is just over 7cm and overall length 18cm.

This pistol is of an obsolete calibre and can therefore be owned without any form of license. It has full working action and can be cocked and dry fired. The action is still tight and crisp and holds back securely on both half and full cock.
