Product Information

This is a British made P1796 Tower military Brown Bess musket. The original lock bears the Tower name and has the military Crown over G.R. stamps. The barrel has its original British proof stamps and the stock has in marked 3 over 1831. Forward of these markings are what look to be more regiment markings. Originally this musket was a flintlock and was upgraded and converted during the mid 1800s to a percussion musket. The wood work has also been modified but the original ram rod has remained. The barrel is 39 inches in length and the overall length is 53 & 3/4 inches. The calibre is .75.

Chambered in an obsolete calibre it can be owned live without any form of license. It can be cocked and dry fired.
