Product Information

This is a British manufactured officers percussion belt pistol, crica 1840s-1850s. The calibre measures around .450 (11.4mm). The octagonal barrel bears Birmingham proof stamps and measures 11cm to the rear sights and has the original ram rod mounted below. All metal parts are hand engraved with a floral pattern. The original Walnut grips are hand chquered. There is a crack in the right grip but this looks to be very old and doesn't affected the integrity of the wood. The action is still incredible tight and strong, locking back firmly on both half and full cock. These types of pistols were privately purchase by British officers and as the name suggest were carried on their belts.
