Product Information

Originally a flintlock, this musket was converted to percussion in the 1800s. The lock still has the remnants of the flintlock mounts and locating holes. The percussion drum is a fairly early type first used on these conversions. The overall design is reminiscent to the Brown Bess musket of the 1700s with British proof stamps on the barrel and a very faint makers markings on the lock plate. As is to be expected with a musket of this age there has been a few repairs made to the wood work over the years. The most obvious repair is structurally sound and looks to be a very old one. The overall length is around 131cms. The barrel measures around 92.5cms. The action will lock back on half and full cock and it can be dry fired. It comes with its ram rod.

Chambered in an antique obsolete calibre this musket can be owned live without any form of license.

It is not deactivated in any way and is being sold as a collectors piece only.
