Product Information

An early production Smith & Wesson No3 .44 single action revolver. The serial is 2778 which dates to around 1880. Production of this model began in 1878 at serial number 1 and ended in 1912 with only 35,796 made. Most No3's encountered usually have the 6 or 7 inch barrel, this one has a 4 inch. It is fitted with the correct S&W logo chequered hard rubber grips and with all visible numbers matched. As is to be expected with a revolver of this age the finish now has a patina. There is also has some wear in action, but it does cycle perfectly each time.

Chambered in S&W .44 Russian obsolete calibre this antique revolver can be owned live without any form of license. It has a full working action.
