A superb I.Hollis & Son, London, martini action under lever rifle. Chambered in .45. Circa 1880-1890s. I.Hollis & Son are a very well known British gun maker producing high quality top end rifles and firearms. This example utilizes the martini henry action design and has intricate hand engraved receiver and barrel flat. The pistol and forerip  both have hand cut chequering . The shorter ball end cocking lever and safety button made it ideally suited for hunting. This particular rifle would have been a private purchase by a person of considerable wealth or standing within the community and would have been used to shoot large game. This rifle could fell a big cat, bear or even something as large as an elephant!

Chambered in an antique obsolete calibre it can be owned live without any form of license. It has a very good condition bore and full working action.
