Product Information

A rare Amberg manufactured Mauser Model 1871/84 bolt action, repeating rifle. This example is regimentally marked to the 5th Bavarian Infantry Regiment, 3rd Company, weapon number 191(B.5.R. 3.191.), who served during WWI and were involved in many military engagements throughout. The receiver is marked with the Imperial German army acceptance stamps and double date stamps of 1887. The serial number, 12974 has no letter suffix. That would indicate that this is from the first thirteen thousand rifles made. Amberg only produced around 95,000 in total. It still retains many original matched parts and features. It comes with an even rarer M1871 bayonet. The bayonet is missing the catch assembly but still holds in place firmly. The leather sling looks to be a modified WWI Kar98AZ sling. A great set. The Model 1871/84 was also used during the Boxer Rebellion (1899 to 1901).

Chambered in 11mm obsolete calibre, this rifle can be owned live without ant form of license. The bore is in very good condition.
