This a rare Antique Obsolete Calibre French Model MAS 1874 revolver 'Officers' model. This model was produced exclusively for French Officers. Just 37,200 MAS 1874 's were made. Production began in 1875 and ceased in 1886. This example is dated 1877, the third year of production when just 6,654 revolver were made. Serial numbers ran from N10711 to N17364. This is number 16394. Although visually similar to the model 1873, it is different. The chambers and barrel are shorter and they had a blued finish. Internal components were lightened.

Chambered in an obsolete calibre (11mm) it can be owned live without any form of license. The bore and cylinders are both in very good condition. It can be cocked, fully stripped and dry fired. The action is crisp and tight.

It is not deactivated in any way and is being sold as a collectors piece only.
