Product Information

This is a US made "Slocum" 5 shot .32 Rimfire sliding chambers revolver made by Brooklyn Arms Co , circa 1863-1865. This very unusual and unique design was used in an attempt to circumvent the bored-through cylinder patent held by Smith & Wesson. When the revolver is in the half cock position this allows the cylinder locking latch to move which then allows the chamber tube to slide forward or open. A very clever and distinctive design. The revolver has a silver plated frame with ornate hand engraving, blued barrel and chambers and is fitted with Walnut grips.

This example has a firm working action that indexes every time.

Chambered in an obsolete calibre it can be owned live without any form of license.

It is being sold as a collectors piece only.
