Product Information

A British manufactured "Tower" Brown Bess musket, Circa 1850s. The stock is stamped "Barnett, Minories, London". John Edward Barnett was trading in 1850s from 134 Minories, London from 1850 to 1875. Barnett were a prolific supplier to the Fur trade during this period, supplying firearms to both English and US markets.

The Brown Bess was the standard musket issued to the British soldier throughout the late 18th and early 19th centuries and was used against both Revolutionary and Napoleonic France. They were most famously used by the British at Battle of Waterloo in 1815. It is one of the most famous British long arms of all time.

Chambered in an antique obsolete calibre it can be owned live without any form of license. It can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. It comes with flint and ram rod.
