This is a unique Turkish Flintlock pistol that is beleived to have been brought back from the Crimean War. It has suffered battle damage to the right side of the woodwork, and this is clearly almost as old as the pistol itself. Remarkable the pistol still works and the flint produces lots of sparks when it makes contact with the frizzen. The pistol has been embellished with unique hand engravings to the woodwork, lock and and brass parts. These pistols are often one-offs and were made specifically for an individual. A fascinating pistol.
