Product Information

This is a Watson Bros, Pall Mall, London, Rook rifle.  Thomas Watson was the son-in-law of the renowned gun and revolver maker William Tranter. In 1875 Thomas Watson acquired the company and premises of Durs Egg at 4 Colonnade, Pall Mall and subsequently became gunmaker to George IV in 1820. The company was famous for arms of the highest quality and Thomas Watson continued and enhanced this reputation, in particular as a maker of the finest small bore shotguns, a reputation the company still maintains today.

This example is chambered in the antique obsolete calibre of .297/300 Rook. The pistol and forerip both have hand cut checkering and are made from high quality Walnut. The action is still tight and crisp and bore in very good original condition with good rifling thoughout.

Chambered in an antique obsolete calibre it can be owned live without any form of license. It has a full working action and can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.

It is not deactivated in any way and is being sold as a collectors piece only.
