A very impressive WWI Imperial German Army, Gewehr Model 1871/84 bolt action rifle, manufactured by Spandau. It is regimentally marked "3.G.G.R.E.3.206" , 3rd Guards Grenadier Regiment, Ersatz Battalion, 3rd Kompany, weapon number 206. This regiment saw active service during many battles of the Great War including the Battle of Chateau Thierry where they fought the US AEF (American Expeditionary Forces ). Marked on the receiver with the Prussian Crown over "FW" (Frederick Wilhelm, King of Prussia) and Imperial German army acceptance stamps. In 1884, using Alfred Von Kropatschek design most Model 1871 rifles were upgraded to an 8-round tubular magazine system housed within the fore stock making this Germany's first repeating rifle. Chambered in a massive 11mm, the imperial German army were still utilising these rifles during the First World War and were seen in use as "latch ditched" weapons during the latter stages of WWII.

Chambered in an obsolete calibre this rifle can be owned live without any form of license. It has a working action and is not deactivated in any way. It can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
