Product Information

This is a Spanish Rif War / Spanish Civil War / WW2 era Spanish made Smith & Wesson M&P Model 10 .38 revolver. The proof markings indicate that this revolver was made between 1923 and 1928. Since Smith & Wesson and Colt’s patent protection did not extend to Spain, Spanish gun makers had been producing local versions of American revolvers, including this Smith & Wesson M&P. Orders for these copies first started during WWI with France and Britain ordering to help supplement the short fall of M1892 & Webley revolvers. They were also issued within Spain to the military, police and civilian populations and were used during the various Spanish conflicts including the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939).
