Deactivated WWII WW2 US M1919A4 .30 Cal Machine Gun

This is a WWII American made Browning 1919A4 .30 calibre light machine gun with a WWII M-2 tripod with British MOD markings. Saginaw Steering Gear Division only manufactured 30 cal's during WWII with production ending in June 1945. The serial number of this one dates to 1941-42 production and bears the correct US military ordnance, inspection and flaming bomb stamps. The thirty cal, as it was named by US troops, was the main light machine gun of world war two. It was very versatile and could be a vehicle mounted weapon (tank, jeep, armoured vehicle etc) or as an infantry support weapon mounted on a tripod.  The 30 cal saw action in all US military engagements throughout WWII, and are still in use today. The WWII M2 tripod has been reworked and re-issued to the British and is broad arrow marked with "F.T.R. UE.71. MOUNT TRIPOD. M/G CAL .30.M2". meaning it was Factory Through Repair at RSAF Enfield in 1971 for issue with a British 30 Cal machine gun. Due to the sympathetic level of deactivation this example can manually extract an inert round from the belt. Deactivated with a working action

Included is 100 inert .3006 rounds with 250 round canvas belt and Reeves ammunition box. A great set.
