Inert British 4.5cm Shell - Falklands War Era

This is a British Navy HE (High Explosive) 4.5cm brass shell case fitted with a wooden dummy projectile. The brass shell case was made by RLB = Royal Labratories and is dated 12/72 = December 1972 with Broad acceptance. The 4.5cm gun is most commonly found on British Navy war ships from 1972 onwards. This large shell measures 43 inches (109cm) in total hieght. We have pictured the shell next to some 50 cal rounds for comparision and are not included.
