Product Information

This is a rare early production Steyr Kropatschek M1886 Short Rifle. It has a very early low serial number of 524 with all visible numbers matched. Total production for this model was only 4,800. Designed by Alfred Ritter von Kropatchek this rifle shares many design features with the French Mle 1878 rifle and incorporates a clever spoon shaped cartridge lifter mechanism to feed rounds in from the loading tube which runs underneath the barrel.

A rare rifle which can be owned completely live without any form of license. It has a full working action and can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. The bore is in very good condition throughout.

It is not deactivated in any way and is being sold as a collectors piece only.
