Deactivated WW2 German K98 dated 1941

This is a Second World War manufactured Nazi K98 dated 1941. The makers code "byf" was only used by Mauser who produced K98's throughout the war. The receiver is corrctly marked with their acceptance stamps Eagle over 655. We know that this K98 was sent to Norway during WW2 being captured by Nord's after the war and then issued to its own armed forces. HAER is their property stamp for the army. During the Nazi occupation of Norway, Germany had around 350,00 to 400,00 men garrisoned in Norway. Its location being of strategic important to the Germany Kriegsmarine (Navy), where the infamous Tirpitz was stationing and eventally sunk by the RAF.

Deactivated with a working action. The rifle is available and is awaiting a replacement deactivation certificate at the proof house. This will not affect its deactivation status.
