Product Information

A fabulous condition WWII dated Russian DPM - Degtyarev Pechotnyi, or Degtyarev Infantry, with the letter M signifying Modernised. The DP's were rugged and reliable weapons, and were the main stream LMG with the Red Army throughout WWII. In 1943 the DP28 was modernised due to some inherent design flaws. This new version became the DPM, that was only in service from 1943 to 1945. 1946 saw further improvements including a belt feed, this version was adopted by Soviet Army as a RP-46 (Rotnyj Pulemet, 1946, or Company Machine Gun). In comparison to the DP27 and 28, very few DPM's were made as its production only lasted for around 2 years. This example is in superb condition, dated 1945 with all visible numbers matched. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
