This is a rare US manufactured Colt M1877 Lightning revolver, chambered in .38. The Lightning was first introduced in 1877 and was Colt's first double action revolver that proved to be hugely successful for them. All visible numbers are matching and date this revolver to 1902 as the year of manufacture. It does have a few issue that are reflected in the price. Its missing the loading gate arm, trigger return spring and the cylinder locking mechansim are both worn. Deactivated sympathetically to current specifications with a working action and clear chambers.
