Product Information

This is an extremely rare 1918 Shanghai 1900 Pistol. This pistol is essentially a hybrid of the two common Chinese copies. It utilises the same internal mechanism from the Browning FN 1900, a longer 5.5 inch barrel and longer 10 round magazine. The pistol grip is slotted for a Mauser-type stock. Several thousand of these were made by the Shanghai Arsenal between 1916 and 1921, just as the height of the Warlord Era was about to begin. This model features in Ian McCollum's book “Pistols of the Warlords 1911-1949” with an estimated total production fewer than 2,801 pistols. They are considered to be one of the highest quality and distinctive Warlord pistols and for these reasons are highly sought after by collectors. Deactivated with a working action.
