Product Information

This is one of the best First World War issued Eddystone manufactured P14's we have ever seen! And the first, with both front and rear volley sights in tact. It has two holes on top of the stock where a cheek piece would have been mounted. There are marks on top of the receiver were the scope was mounted. This evidence strongly supports that this was used as a sniper rifle during WWI. The rifles regimental brass disc is marked DM (Driver, Mechanised Transport). The initials IR( Remington) and date 1914 are clearly marked on the stock. These markings were part of the British system of inspection to distinguish the absolute interchangeability of parts and components. Bolt numbers match that of the rifle, with lots of British broad arrow acceptance markings. A really cracking piece of British WWI history. The rifle was deactivated in 1994 to old specifications with working action and can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
