Deactivated OLD SPEC WWII SMLE No1 MKIII* .303 rifle. Dated 1942 and marked FR (Factory Repaired), meaning it returned from active duties and required rework before being reissued back into service. The regimental brass disc reads 41 B 105. Although second world war dated this rifle is most likely of WW1 vintage. The bolt is definitely first world war and the cut-off plate has been omitted, dating this rifle to around 1916 onwards. Comes fitted with period canvas sling. Deactivated in 1995 to old specifications it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
