Product Information

This is a rare Sten MKII. The markings on the magazine housing are those of the Belgium military arsenal (l'arsenale militare belga). The makers mark is "AsArm" , "ABL" - Armée Belge Belgisch Leger - Belgium Army, followed by 51 - 1951 and the Belgian Royal Crown. During WWII Belgium forces and resistance groups received quantities of the Sten. Post WWII they decided to utilise their stocks of these Sten's to arm certain branches of its own armed forces. They also produced a virtually identical copy in-house. We believe that this is a WWII British made Sten that was reworked in the early 1950s. The stock is broad arrow marked and the trigger housing has had the British marking removed and the Belgium ownership ones added. Incredible all visible numbers are matched. Belgium production figures would appear to be very small as the Sten was quickly out dated, however due to its compact size it remained in service with specialist airbourne units until the 1980s. A very rare Sten of which you are unlikely to see another! Deactivated to new UK specifications. Comes fitted with an original sling and removable stock and magazine.
