This is a rare Standard Products manufactured WWII US M1 Carbine. Standard Products only made one batch of M1's during WWII totaling just 247,160 carbines. They were allocated serial numbers from 1982520 to 2352519. This example sits in the middle of this block and is number 2191428. Another unique feature is the barrels. They only fitted their rifles with Underwood, IBM or Marlin marked barrels. This one has an Underwood barrel fitted. The wood work has the correct "P" proof at the bottom of the pistol grip and the early two holed top piece of wood work. When you consider that over 6 million M1's were made during WWII this is a tiny figure in comparison. This manufacturer of the M1 is seldom encountered.

 It is deactivated with tension cocking lever and trigger both of which will return under spring tension. The cocking will hold back on the safety pin. Comes fitted with the correct canvas sling, oil bottle and removable magazine.
