This is a great condition early Second World War Russian Mosin Nagant M91/30 rifle. Dated 1938, it was manufactured at the Tula arsenal and has all matching numbers. 1938 saw Russian arms production increase in readiness for its invasion of Finland (Winter War) and for the inevitable outbreak of WWII. Good evidence that this rifle saw active service is the re-numbered magazine base plate. The M91/30 was the standard issue longarm used by Russian troops throughout WWII and was a very reliable and accurate rifle. Deactivated with a workimg action.
