Product Information

Deactivated WWI US made Eddystone P17 Rifle (Model of 1917). We believe this to be an ex Canadian sniper rifle. The unit markings on the stock (EOTC 865) confirm that it was issued to a Canadian regiment, with the letter "C" with a broad arrow stamp within it. The rear sight wings have been machined down and a half moon slot cut in the receiver, this would strongly suggest that a scope and mounts have been fitted. The Canadians did retrofit a small amount of P17's during WWI, into sniper rifles. The rifle bears the correct flaming grenade cartouches and "E'" Eddystone stamps. The barrel is dated October 1917 (10'17).  A rear sight has been fitted forward of the receiver, this is so it could still be used as a conventual rifle when the scope and mounts were removed. Comes with an original oiler and pull through set. A very interesting rifle. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
