Product Information

Hard to find, a WWI Russian Nagant M1985 Revolver, Circa 1916. The last digit in the date stamp looks to be a 6 (1916). They were used by the Red Army during both World Wars, usually issued to officers and NCOs. Post WWI this Nagant was reworked and upgraded and would have seen active service again during WWII. They are a seven shot revolver with a unique gas-seal. When cocked the cylinder moves forward, the gap between the cylinder and the barrel closes. This provides a boost to the muzzle velocity allowing the weapon to be suppressed and increase muzzle velocity. A very clever and advanced design for the time. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired
