A great condition all matching numbers, early Second World War dated SMLE MKIII* .303 rifle. Dated 1941 it was manufactured at the Ishapore factory and are identical to the British made examples and were issued to Common Wealth forces. These Allies forces saw action in the European theatres, Africa, Asia and as far as Burma against the Japanese. All visible numbers are matching including the receiver, barrel, rear sight assembly, nose cap and bolt. The stock has the correct period cartouche found on GRI manufactured SMLEs.  Comes fitted with an original wartime period canvas sling. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
