Product Information

A super condition early Russian Mosin Nagant M/91 that has been converted into a sniper rifle and fitted with PU scope and mounts. Manufactured by Izhevsk, dated 1923 with early "hex" receiver. Matching numbers to receiver, bolt, magazine assembly and scope mount. Comes fitted with sling, leather sight cover and cleaning rod. The scope has crystal clear optics. Made famous by the film Enemy at the Gates a film about the Russian sniper ace Vassili Zaitsev, played by Jude Law. Zaitsev is credited with 242 kills in Stalingrad using his type of Nagant rifle. Russia, unlike most other military nations, also used women to carry out sniper duties, and had over 2000 during WW2. They proved very effective and accurate snipers!! Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
