This is a WWII Era Schermuley Line Throwing Pistol. This model utilieses the First World War Webley MKIII pistol attached to a Schermuly line throwing tube and handle. This is an original condition, matching numbers example with the correct period proof stamps . The Schermuly design was highly successful for the throwing of lines from shore to ship, or ship to ship. The Schermuly system saved countless lives at sea. They were used predominantly by the Royal Navy throughout WWII.

Deactivated with a working action, it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
