A very interesting WWII Lee Enfield No4 MKI* Ex sniper/marksmans rifle. Marked M1944 , meaning ROF Maltby 1944. Matching numbers to bolt, receiver and magazine. Visible on top of the receiver are the screw holes for the scope mounts. The barrel has been threaded to accommodate a moderator/silencer. A very interesting rifle. The No4 was issued to British and Commonwealth forces during WWII and saw active service on all fronts. Deactivated with a working action it canbe cocked, stripped and dry fired.
