This is a WWII British military marked Webley MKIV (4) .38 revolver - short barrel variant. Webley's marked "War Finish" were only produced and marked this way during wartime production. This example also has the British military broad arrow acceptance stamp, with all visible numbers matched. The serial number dates this revolver to 1945. The short barrel MK4 variant is far less common than its standard bigger brother. They were issued to various branches of the military including the RAF, vehicle or tank crews and the MOD police.
