Deactivated RARE WWII Engraved Walther PP - Duraluminum framed

Product Information

A very rare WWII Nazi Duraluminum framed Walther PP engraved with the owner's name. The engraving reads "Manfred Fernsebner - Krimml", with "Krimml" being a region of Austria. From this engraving, we can confidently presume he was a man of considerable rank, or a person of standing within the community. Senior Nazi officials were known to have pistols personalised in this way, or given to them as a presentation piece. During WWII the Nazis had strict guns-laws imposed on Europeans, with only selected citizens being allowed to have firearms.

In comparison to the standard steel framed PPs, very few aluminum framed examples were produced during WWII and as such are fairly rare, but to find one that is personalised in this manner is a very rare find indeed. The serial number and proof stamps date this pistol to 1942 production. Only 8,000 were made between 1942 to 1944. It is fitted with its original grips, and correct wartime magazine.

Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
