Product Information

WWII Steyr manufactured, 660 coded German K98. In 1940 and for that year only, Steyr produced the “660” coded K98. They are unusual as they dont have “Mod.98” designation on the side rail which was only omitted on that years production. The receivers were stamped four times with Waffen code WaA623. This is a fairly early example from that years production with a letter "b" suffix. Known serial numbers show that very few were ever made that year. This example still retains many original parts including the lower wood work, magazine assembly and main bolt piece. Eventually this K98 fell into Norwegian hands and was marked and used by their forces. It is marked with a very rare Norwegian stamp "KNM", short for Kongelig Norske Marine (Royal Norwegian Navy), of which very few now exist. Even more unusual is its calibre. Unlike the vast majority which were re chambered in .30 06, this one has remained in German 7.92mm. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
