Product Information

This is a rare Second World War Steyr-Daimler-Puch (660 coded) G29/40 (K98k) dated 1940 and fitted with 1939 dated barrel. These rifles were originally made by the Polish company FB Radom in the 1930's and called the Wz29. In 1939 Germany invaded and took over control of the factory and manufacturing. Germany utilised the captured receivers, partially finished parts etc, and then sent to Steyr for final assembly. This assembly first occurred in 1940, when the fewest were assembled. They restocked them and adding their own designation stamps then reissued these rifles to their own troops. A total of around 54,000 were made and with vast majority produced in 1941. Very few of these early carbines exist as most were captured, destroyed or broken up after the war. Correctly stamped four times on the receiver ring with Waffen code WaA623. Comes fitted with cleaning rod and original wartime sling marked D&C Dransfeld & Co, Menden/Sauerland. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
