Product Information

This is an early Second World War manufactured German K98 with many matching numbers. Dated 1936, it was made by J.P.Sauer who are estimated to have made less 200,000 rifles that year. Surprisingly in 1936 Germany only had 5 companies producing the K98. The rifles receiver bears the correct S/147 secret makers code and the Waffen acceptance stamps, a Weimar Eagle over 214 that can also be found on the majority of the component parts including the woodwork. Just visible on the stock below the upper Eagle acceptance stamp is the capital letter M for Kriegsmarine. This ties in with the rifles history having been stationed in Norway during the war, Germany having a strong Naval presents their throughout occupation. After the war this K98 then became the property of the Nords who put them into service with their own armed forces. This one being marked HAER = Norwegian Army. Deactivated to current specifications with moving bolt and trigger.
