Product Information

This is a fabulous condition WWII Czechoslovakian ZB26 machine gun, chambered in German 7.92mm. The ZB-26 was adopted and used by Wehrmacht after the successful invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1938 after which these guns were re-designating as the MG26(t). In the opening stages of World War II the ZB26 was used in large numbers by units of the German Waffen SS. They were also deployed and used during the defense of the beaches of France during the Allied D-Day landings. The removal of the Czech crest on this gun would strongly suggest it was captured and reissued. The ZB series are still considered by many to be the finest light machine gun of WWII. The build quality is outstanding. The design was used by the British to develop the legendary Bren gun. Deactivated with a working action. Included is an original wooden transit chest, leather sling, magazine pouch containing 3 spare magazines (all containing inert 7.92mm rounds) plus the Nazi marked magazine fitted in the gun.
