Product Information

This is a WWI dated Steyr-Mannlicher M1895 (Steyr M95) bolt action straight pull rifle with matching numbers. It is marked on the receiver with the Austro-Hungarian Army acceptance stamps and is dated 1917. Austro-Hungary forces fort along side Germany during the first world war with the aim of increasing its territorial ambitions. In 1930 most M95 rifles were converted to the more powerful 8x56R M30 ammunition and marked with the letter "S" on the receiver ring.  WWII saw them is service again with various Austrian and German forces and also being used by other allied axis countries and if captured, used by partisan groups.  Deactivated with a working action.
