Deactivated WWI Battlefield Recovered German Gew98 Rifle

This is a First World War Imperial German Army issued Gew98 rifle that has almost certainly been recovered from the battlefield. Dated 1906, it was mad at the Baverian Arsenal, Amberg who only produced the Gew98 1902-1908 and 1912-1918. The rifle has all visible numbers matching including both upper and lower woodwork. Note the shrapnal strike to the trigger guard. If you are looking for a rifle that has definitely seen action during WWI then this is the rifle for you!

Deactivated to current specifications with moving bolt and trigger. We have treaty the stock for wood worn and stabilized the wood at the end of the stock from any further deterioration.
