Product Information

This is a rare First World War Langenhan pistol - second variant, circa 1916, that was produced for German army. It was manufactured by Freidrich Langenhan who only produced around 55,000 pistols, all of which all were accepted by the German Army during the First World War and carry the military acceptance stamp. They were a well made pistol with beautiful machining. Friedrich Langenhan established his 'Gewehr-und Fahrradfabrik' in Zella St. Blasii in 1842, making sporting guns and bicycles until the outbreak of the First World War. Development of an automatic pistol began in 1914, a patent application was made in 1915, this was followed shortly by an order by the German army who procured allof  them and none were ever sold commercially. Production ended in 1918. This example bears German nitro proof and army acceptance stamps and is all matching numbers. A rare WWI pistol. Deactivated with a working action.
