This is a Second World War Nazi Browning High Power, 9mm pistol. This variant was designated as the P640(b) and stamped with Waffen code WaA140. This example dates to 1943/44 production and is from one of the very late batches before the factory was liberated in 1944. Post WWII this pistol was refinished. Many countries and private owners did this in an attempt to remove the Nazi markings. The Nazi Eagle and WaA140 are just visible on front end on the frame. Deactivated to current specifications  it can be cocked and dry fired.
