Product Information

A 1941 dated J.P. Sauer und Sohn Gewehrfabrik Suhl K98, manufactured under secret Nazi code - CE 41. J.P. Sauer & Sohn was one of the oldest gun makers in Germany, producing the Gew98 rifles for Imperial Germany during WW1. Post WWI Sauer was ideally suited to be one of the prime contractors for the then new German K98 carbine, and along with Mauser were the first company to start manufacturing them. They first began in 1933 as part of the Nazi re-armament programme. This example is one of an estimated 225,000 produced by them in 1941. It still retains many original matched parts including the complete bolt and floor plate assembly. Correctly marked with Waffen acceptance stamps Eagle over 37 & 359. Eventually this K98 fell into Norwegian hands and was marked and used by their forces. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
