Product Information

Deactivated WWII Nazi Sauer 38H Pistol, the "H" stands for hammerless. This is an early second variant , the low serial number 308388 dates to early 1940s. Correct Eagle over N proof markings on slide, frame and barrel, but more importantly it bears the military acceptance Waffen code Eagle over 37 on the trigger guard. At some stage this pistol has had the slide markings/legends removed and custom wooden grips fitted, not an uncommon upgrade as the bakelite material used was prone to cracking. They were a very popular private purchase sidearm within the German army. During wartime production Sauer only produced around 200,000 pistols, with this variant being part of a small batch issued to military personnel only. Known serial number range for this variant ran from 273446 to 332000. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
